A HUMBLE OFFERING TO

BHAGAWAN SRI SATHYA SAI BABA

This began as an offering of love to Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba for His 95th Birthday.

The Sri Sathya Sai School Alumni South Africa aims to be a dynamic community of active members who contribute to the goals and objectives of the Sri Sathya Sai Schools in South Africa. Our mission is to ensure continuity of the Sri Sathya Sai School’s in South Africa for decades to come.

As His emissaries in the world, we aim to spread the message and teachings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba through our own personal example.

The Sri Sathya Sai School Alumni will work in harmony with the new/ existing structures of the SSSIO-SA to add value, support, and quality to the Sri Sathya Sai Schools of South Africa. The Sri Sathya Sai School Alumni South Africa is an organisation under the flag of our Lord and Master, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

History

The Sri Sathya Sai School Chatsworth Alumni was launched in late 2007 by the first set of matriculates of Sri Sathya Sai School Chatsworth. Ex-students have continuously assisted and are still assisting the Sri Sathya Sai School Chatsworth. More recently a group of ex-students had the intention of dynamically linking the Alumni with the respective bodies, increasing the role that members can play in uplifting the schools.

On 27 January 2021, the Sri Sathya Sai Education Trust South Africa had renamed the Sri Sathya Sai School Chatsworth Alumni to Sri Sathya Sai School Alumni South Africa. This organisation comprises a combination of all Sri Sathya Sai School Alumni in South Africa, now including Alumni members from SSSS Lenasia as well as SSSS Newcastle.

We are thankful for the ongoing support and assistance from the respective bodies and individuals in developing the Sri Sathya Sai School Alumni South Africa.

Purpose of the Sri Sathya Sai School Alumni South Africa

The primary purpose of the Sri Sathya Sai School Alumni South Africa is to provide support to all Sathya Sai Schools in South Africa;
Work in conjunction with the appropriate bodies to ensure continuity and continuous development in the Sri Sathya Sai Schools in South Africa;
Attract interested individuals to join the mission and visions;
Promote the teaching of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba through the unity of faiths;
Allow members the ability/ opportunity to give back to the Sri Sathya Sai Schools;
Develop and strengthen relationship between our alumni, Well-wishers and the Sri Sathya Sai Schools in South Africa;
Effectively network alumni of Sri Sathya Sai School's in South Africa with Sri Sathya Sai Students worldwide, to relive student memories, assist each other and network in the promotion of Bhagawan's teachings;
To work with Sri Sathya Sai Schools in South Africa and suggest new technologies and improvements that shall benchmark innovation in the 4th IR;
Advise and conduct activities that shall motivate and improve student, parent, staff and alumni members skill sets;
Ensure commitment to transparency of goals, objectives and actions;
Engage with respective bodies to improve the Sri Sathya Sai Schools in South Africa;
Host events to promote the Sri Sathya Sai Schools in South Africa, Sri Sathya Sai School Alumni South Africa, Sri Sathya Sai Education Trust of South Africa, and Sri Sathya Sai International Organization South Africa.
Members become a part of a dynamic community of active alumni who contribute to the goals and objectives of the programme, feel ownership over its direction, and act as ambassadors for the Sri Sathya Sai International Organisation of South Africa, the Sri Sathya Sai Education Trust of South Africa, the Sri Sathya Sai Schools in South Africa, Well-wishers and Sri Sathya Sai School Alumni;

Membership in the Sri Sathya Sai School Alumni South Africa

Membership to the Sri Sathya Sai School Alumni South Africa is free and open to all individuals who meet the applicable registration criteria.

The Sathya Sai School Alumni South Africa has 2 categories of membership which are Alumni and Well-wishers.

A filtering process aiding individuals in finding the closest Sri Sathya Sai School in South Africa where they can carry out their service activities in line with the appropriate procedure and regulations will be employed.

Registration Criteria

Any person who:
1. Respects all the values and teachings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
2. Abides by the Rules and Regulations of the Sri Sathya Sai School Alumni.

In order for an individual to be a member of the Sri Sathya Sai School Alumni in South Africa, the individual must;

1. 1. Register with the Sri Sathya Sai School Alumni South Africa on the official database;
  2. Join and participate in a wing within the Sri Sathya Sai School Alumni in South Africa.

Who can be a Well-Wisher?

Parent/ Guardians of existing and Ex-students Sri Sathya Sai School in South Africa
Individuals or Business or Organisations (Religious, Non-Profit Organisations, Non-Government Organisations and other/s) who want to assist and build relations with the Sri Sathya Sai School Alumni in South Africa
Members or Wings of the Sri Sathya Sai International Organisation (SSSIO)
Existing and Ex-Staff Members of the Sri Sathya Sai School in South Africa
